About

Currently at the RI-MUHC, working with the Montreal’s Children’s Hospital, Harvey E. Beardmore Division of Pediatric Surgery as a Research Project Manager. From inception of project ideas through all cycles of REB, contractual journeys, staff and student research support, until manuscript publication. Continuously embarking on many new projects to help strengthen the existing research efforts by this incredibly dedicated department. My main interests lie in supporting improvement in family centred patient care, pediatric surgery including Enhanced Recovery after Pediatric Surgery (ERAPS), artificial intelligence in communication, global health and more. Nationally supporting outstanding research efforts through a Canadian Consortium of Pediatric Surgery (CanCORPS) and the Canadian Biliary Atresia network (CBAR).

Previously, at the Glen Medical Library for almost 7 years, which serves several of the MUHC hospitals. Integrated into many different teams to help consult on projects and work closely with medical staff, residents, students and nurses to provide assistance in publishing the highest quality articles. Extensive searching skills to allow publishing as systematic reviews, guidelines, scoping reviews, case reports, position statements, rapid reviews as well as general background literature searches to help develop your knowledge with regards to your patients or new areas in hospital development. Specializing in finding evidence for global health, pediatric surgery, ENT, enhanced recovery (ERAS) and surgical pathways, amongst many other topics.

I have worked in a vast array of library fields, from shelving and circulation, to reference, in management and medical libraries as well as running a small and highly specialized psychiatric library. I spent many years working in sales, project and product management in the library software industry, where I helped to develop and create excellent products from start to finish, based on client’s needs in addition to medical education iPAD apps. This experience allowed me to gain an extensive knowledge of the software lifecycle. In addition to user interface development from the library perspective, I trained and presented to hundreds of users and developed extensive documentation and guides as well as independently learned to code for report writing.

I am creative and inquisitive and I enjoy challenges. I am extremely effective at adhering to deadlines and I have an inherent aptitude for the technical aspect of software and its development.
