Parsa Bandamiri is a Master of Science candidate in Experimental Surgery at McGill University. With a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from McGill University, Parsa’s current Master’s concentration is on surgical innovation. His ongoing research focuses on reviewing the quality of surgical practices and patient care within the last decade.
Parsa holds an interdisciplinary research portfolio - his most impactful paper being published by Stanford University’s Structural Health Monitoring in 2017. Moreover, he is active in the world of startups and projects related to innovation in science. He is a cofounder of SmartCityX accelerated by D3 Innovation Centre in the city of Montreal. Parsa is also a co-author of a book chapter on Strategic Entrepreneurship to be published by Springer in 2021.
During 2021, Parsa is applying his entrepreneurial background as a cofounder to a MedTech startup named Journey of Surgery (JoS). JoS is an app that facilitates shared decision-making between patients and surgical teams.
For leisure, Parsa is a tennis player, pianist and music producer. He also enjoys doing calisthenics followed by yoga in nature.
